Health Care Enters the Nursing Home: Director Wu Chaobo Brings a Heartwarming Lecture on Tumor Prevention and Treatment
2025-11-15

Winter warmth, health companionship. To further improve health awareness among elderly friends, on the morning of November 13, Dr. Wu Chaobo, Director of Ward II of our hospital, visited a nursing home and gave a thoughtful public welfare lecture on tumor prevention and treatment, transforming professional health knowledge into warm daily protection. The lecture aimed to help the elderly understand tumors scientifically and establish the health concept of “early prevention, early detection, and early treatment.”

Taking into account the reading and comprehension habits of the elderly, Director Wu used plain and easy-to-understand language throughout the lecture, combined with relatable everyday analogies, to explain complex medical knowledge in an engaging way. He focused on the early signs of common tumors among older adults and reminded everyone to pay attention to subtle changes in the body. He also provided many specific and practical suggestions on scientific cancer prevention through balanced diet, appropriate exercise, regular physical examinations, and an optimistic mindset.

“There is so much knowledge in daily diet!” “A good mindset really is important!” During the lecture, the elderly nodded frequently and actively interacted with Director Wu.

Taking the initiative to step forward and extend high-quality medical resources and health education services beyond the hospital is a social responsibility that our hospital has long upheld. We firmly believe that moving professional cancer prevention and anti-cancer knowledge forward and making it widely accessible is a key part of improving public health literacy. In the future, our hospital will continue to uphold this philosophy, carry out more diverse and in-depth public welfare health activities, safeguard citizens' health and well-being through concrete actions, and help build a more robust community health protection network.
