Strengthening the Safety Line | Our Hospital Conducts a Pre-Spring Festival Fire Emergency Drill
2026-01-09

As the Spring Festival approached, in order to comprehensively improve the hospital's fire safety management, strengthen all staff's fire safety awareness and emergency response capabilities, and build a strong safety line during the holiday period, our hospital organized a pre-Spring Festival fire safety learning and drill activity on the afternoon of January 8.

This drill combined theoretical training with practical exercises, focusing on two key areas: fire evacuation and escape, and the use of fire extinguishers.

At 2 p.m., as simulated smoke rose and the fire alarm sounded, the evacuation drill officially began. Personnel from participating departments followed the designated evacuation routes, moved quickly in a low posture while covering their mouths and noses, and evacuated in an orderly manner to safe areas. Safety officers on each floor quickly took their positions, guided evacuation directions, and counted personnel. The entire process was tense but orderly, with standardized procedures.

After the evacuation drill, all participants moved to the designated area for hands-on fire extinguisher training. The fire safety specialist explained in detail the structure, principles, operating steps, and precautions for dry powder fire extinguishers.

“Lift, pull, grip, and press.” Under the guidance of professionals, medical staff as well as administrative and logistics staff took turns practicing fire suppression in front of a simulated fire source, strictly following the operating essentials. Many employees who were using a fire extinguisher for the first time said, “I used to think fire extinguishers were mysterious. After using one myself, I understood it right away. It can really be useful at a critical moment!”

After the drill, hospital leaders emphasized: “Hospitals are crowded places, and fire safety is a major responsibility. Especially around the Spring Festival, electricity and gas use increase, and safety hazards cannot be ignored. Everyone in the hospital must always keep safety in mind, treat drills as real combat, and continuously improve emergency response capabilities.”

This fire drill not only tested the feasibility and effectiveness of our hospital's fire emergency plan, but also effectively enhanced the fire safety awareness and self-rescue and mutual-rescue capabilities of cadres and staff, laying a solid foundation for a safe and harmonious medical environment.

Safety is no small matter; prevent hazards before they ignite. Our hospital will continue to strengthen fire safety management, build a firm safety line, and provide patients and staff with a safer and more reliable diagnosis and treatment environment.
