To further consolidate the professional foundation of our medical staff and enhance our hospital's emergency response and multidisciplinary collaborative treatment capabilities for critically ill patients, the Medical Affairs Department carefully organized the April 2026 “Three Basics” training and clinical emergency drill on the afternoon of April 15. The event centered on two major themes: “strengthening the foundation of theoretical knowledge and practical skills” and “testing emergency rescue procedures in real-world scenarios.” Physicians, nurses, technicians, and pharmacists across the hospital (except those on duty) actively participated, creating a strong atmosphere of learning knowledge, practicing techniques, and improving capabilities.

Promoting Learning Through Training and Consolidating the Fundamentals of the “Three Basics”
“Three Basics” training is the cornerstone of medical quality and safety. In the hospital conference room, this month's “Three Basics” training began on schedule.
Closely aligned with clinical needs, this training was rich in content and highly practical:
“Key Points for Emergency Management of Complications in Patients Undergoing NanoKnife Surgery”: Presented by Director Wu Chaobo of Ward II, the session systematically reviewed possible complications associated with new technologies and procedures and explained response strategies, improving medical staff's ability to anticipate and manage risks.

“Key Points for Handover in Full-Course Services for Surgical Patients”: Presented by Head Nurse Huang Yan of the operating room, the session focused on perioperative patient safety and refined the service processes and communication points at every stage from preoperative, intraoperative, to postoperative handover, ensuring seamless coordination.

Participants said that the courses covered both risk prevention and control for cutting-edge technologies and reinforcement of basic skills, offering strong guidance for daily work and emergency rescue.
Training as Preparation for Action: Testing Emergency Response Capabilities in Real Scenarios
After the theoretical training, an emergency drill simulating a real-life scenario began in the Radiology Department. The drill simulated a sudden critical incident and aimed to test the hospital's rapid identification, multidisciplinary collaboration (MDT), and comprehensive rescue capabilities for critically ill patients, such as anaphylactic shock caused by iodinated contrast agents and postoperative tension pneumothorax.

During the drill, the Radiology Department immediately detected changes in the patient's condition, initiated early emergency care, and quickly called the ward for support. The rescue team from Ward I rushed to the scene, while Anesthesiology, Laboratory, Pharmacy, Functional Examination, and other departments responded simultaneously. They completed condition assessment, emergency treatment, medication rescue, and auxiliary examinations in an orderly manner. The entire drill was tense yet well organized, with all links closely connected, fully verifying the smoothness of the emergency rescue process and the effectiveness of the multidisciplinary collaboration mechanism.
After the drill, the Medical Affairs Department organized a review and summary with participating departments, identifying weaknesses in details such as equipment, medicines, and departmental coordination, thereby accumulating valuable experience for the continuous optimization of emergency rescue procedures.
Safety Is the Bottom Line, Quality Is Life
One training session and one drill were also a fulfillment of our commitment to medical safety. Our hospital always places patient safety first. Through regular “Three Basics” training and practical emergency drills, we continue to strengthen the solid capabilities of medical staff and improve the multidisciplinary collaboration mechanism.
In the future, Chengdu Huanya Hospital will continue to rely on solid professional capabilities and an efficient emergency response system to provide patients with safer, higher-quality, and more compassionate medical services!
