Professor Liao Zhengyin Invited to Attend CIRSE 2026 Annual Congress,China’s Voice of Minimally Invasive Medicine Resonates Across Europe
From September 5 to 9, 2026, the most influential academic event in the field of interventional radiology—the Annual Congress of the Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiological Society of Europe (CIRSE)—was held in Copenhagen, Denmark. The congress brought together more than 7,000 interventional radiology experts, scholars, and industry partners from around the world. Professor Liao Zhengyin, a leading figure in China’s MDT for complex tumors, former senior expert at the Cancer Center of West China Hospital, and Chief Expert of Chengdu Uni-Asia Cancer Hospital, attended the event and joined leading scholars from around the world to discuss the latest developments and future directions in interventional radiology.

Global Top-Tier Academic Platform, Focusing on the Frontiers of Interventional Medicine
The CIRSE Annual Congress is a benchmark international academic platform in the field of interventional radiology, with a history of more than 40 years. It has played a leading role in promoting the development of global standards for interventional diagnosis and treatment, the clinical translation of new technologies, and international medical collaboration. Its academic perspectives have profoundly influenced clinical practice pathways for minimally invasive treatment of tumors and vascular diseases worldwide.

Professor Liao Zhengyin’s invitation to attend marks an important step in the Chengdu Uni-Asia Cancer Hospital expert team’s deeper participation in international academic exchange. It also once again demonstrates that China’s expertise in minimally invasive interventional oncology and cancer pain treatment is gaining widespread attention from the international medical community.

Professor Liao Zhengyin said: “CIRSE is one of the world’s most important platforms for exchange in interventional medicine. In different countries and under different healthcare systems, clinicians face unique practical challenges in cancer treatment. We bring the experience accumulated from frontline clinical practice in China to the international community, while learning from cutting-edge global concepts. Through two-way exchange and mutual learning, our ultimate goal is to explore safer and more effective minimally invasive treatment pathways for cancer patients worldwide.”

Chinese Expertise on the Global Stage, Advancing the Development of Interventional Medicine Worldwide
As a leading figure in China’s MDT for complex tumors, a council member of the World Academy of Tumor Ablation (WATA), and a former senior expert at the Cancer Center of West China Hospital, Professor Liao Zhengyin has devoted more than 30 years to the field of minimally invasive interventional oncology. He has long been active at the forefront of international academic exchange and has repeatedly presented China’s innovative achievements in minimally invasive interventional treatment of tumors at international academic conferences. His participation in CIRSE 2026 represents recognition by the international medical community of China’s clinical practice in minimally invasive interventional oncology, while further enhancing the academic influence of Chengdu Uni-Asia Cancer Hospital in the field of international minimally invasive oncology.

Under the leadership of Professor Liao Zhengyin, Chengdu Uni-Asia Cancer Hospital has brought together a team of leading Chinese experts in minimally invasive interventional oncology. Through international platforms such as CIRSE 2026, the hospital is committed to introducing top medical resources from China and abroad, continuously sharing China’s experience in minimally invasive oncology with the international community, and helping patients in China and overseas access high-quality minimally invasive oncology diagnosis and treatment services.
